The Kinesiology Association of Ireland (KAI) is a national kinesiology body in Ireland representing the professional interests of qualified kinesiology practitioners, kinesiology students and the personal interests of the public. The policy of the KAI is to support and encourage our members, and to be the public face of Kinesiology Ireland.
WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?
Kinesiology is a holistic touch therapy that links the rich tradition of Chinese acupuncture meridians and energy balancing with Western muscle testing, anatomy and physiology.
Muscle Testing is used to detect imbalances in the body which may relate to stress, nutrition, learning difficulties, dyslexia, pain, injuries etc. The process is led by the client as the muscle response tells the practitioner what is the priority problem to be dealt with right now, and the best way to stimulate the body's natural healing ability.
Kinesiology brings about balance in the body by releasing energy blocks, eliminating toxins, reducing tension and enhancing the body's natural healing ability. Practitioners will use a wide variety of techniques include emotional stress release; holding or massaging neuro-lymphatic reflexes, neurovascular reflexes and meridian energy points; personalised nutrition and diet; energy healing; specific exercises; eye movements; sound; colour; flower remedies and other therapies in which the practitioner is trained.
