CAM Meeting 16 November

The following has been received from CAM Ireland and may be of interest to members.

Subject: Meeting Regarding Upcoming Legislation Impacting Natural Healing in Ireland

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am contacting you in relation to the Treatment of Cancer (Advertisement ) Bill 2018, proposed by Kate O’Connell TD.

This Bill is designed to prevent false advertising of cancer treatments. We are concerned that the Bill as currently worded may have unforeseen consequences for the complementary and alternative medicine sector possibly impacting on aspects of our professional practise.

The government has indicated that input is welcome at this stage before it comes back to committee. This bill is now due back before the Dail on the 4th December 2019.

We have organised a meeting for representative of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine)

Venue: Temple Bar Hotel Dublin
Date:
Saturday, 16th November 2019
Time: 2 to 5pm

Please do your best to attend and inform and invite other CAM representatives. For further information and to read the concerning wording visit CAMIreland.org

Your sincerely,

Cathriona Walsh MH Ir 087 6201378
